What to expect during root canal treatment
During a root canal procedure, we will first numb the area around the affected tooth using local anesthesia to ensure your comfort throughout the process. We then create an opening in the tooth to access the infected or inflamed pulp. Using specialised instruments, we carefully remove the damaged pulp, clean and disinfect the inside of the tooth, and shape the root canals. Once the canals are cleaned and shaped, they are filled with a biocompatible material to seal them and prevent further infection. Finally, the tooth is restored with a filling or crown to protect and strengthen it.
This process may take 2-3 visits. At every stage of the treatment, our team prioritises your comfort and wellbeing.
