Preventive pre-orthodontic treatment for children and young teens with the Myobrace® System
For our young patients, we offer the Myobrace® System – a preventive pre-orthodontic treatment best suited for children aged 3 to 15. It aims to eliminate the root causes of crooked teeth, often foregoing the need for braces or tooth extraction. The system works on changing poor oral habits such as mouth breathing, tongue thrusting, thumb sucking, and incorrect swallowing patterns, which can contribute to malocclusion (misalignment of the teeth) and improper jaw development.
Your child only needs to wear removable intra-oral appliances for 1-2 hours daily and overnight while sleeping. This novel approach straightens the teeth and aligns the jaws and aims to prevent or reduce the need for braces or other orthodontic interventions later in life.
